Charlie and The Chocolate Factory

First I gotta say, this film really spooks me out at some point with the Willy Wonka character and those totally bizarre antics of the little-dark-skin-men.

Watching the movie feels like one of those wacko dreams from 'The Twilight Zone'. And I now know why people keep comparing Willy Wonka to the infamous King of Pop.

But the soundtrack orchestra is really superb, fits right into the fantasy setting of the movie.

It is a very interesting movie, and I enjoyed watching it, but I probably won't watch it again, because I'm worried I might get nightmares from those little-dark-skin-men..

Doraemon: Nobita & Wind Wizard

Hmm.. what can I say about this super-adorable (it's Doraemon!), mildly funny and even less interesting flick of an anime? I don't know, perhaps I have read one too many Doraemon's long adventure comics, so basically all the basic formula of a 'Doraemon long adventure' story are here.

Maybe that's the problem, it's just too typical. Well at least those cutesy antics still work, although we've heard like a zillion times of the joke where Doraemon being mistaken as a raccoon, but I guess it's sort of like a tradition, they just HAVE to have that joke in each and every one of the long adventure stories.

Could have just read this movie in a comic book form, but I went to watch it in the cinema, cos I just wanted to know how it feels like watching Doraemon on the big screen. And boy, was he big!

Dalian - Last Day.. Back to KL

Just woke up early morning at 6 am, there was no bright burning sun shining through my apartment's window like the usual summer day here, this morning the sky seem unusually gloomy. Could be the fact that Autumn is coming, or could be that I'm leaving this beautiful city today..

Flying back to KL later today. Having spent almost a month here in Dalian, I guess in some ways I'll be missing the good things which I find endearing here, not the least those many many good looking Chinese :-P

Call me whatever, but truth is, there is something nice being able to see everywhere people who bears the same skin colour and look like my own. It makes me feel like this place is where I belong, eventhough most of the food are either too salty or taste just downright strange, lol.

Anyway, still have stuff to pack, am glad to be going back to KL, just hope that it's not too hot back there, cos I think I'm a bit spoiled by the 25 degrees weather here! :-P

Dalian - 4th Day

Been having a great time here.

The weather is slightly cooler at around 25 degrees.

The city is quite beautiful, with well manicured landscapes, artistic skyrisers and colourful buildings.

And there are plenty of good looking people here, be it girls or boys :-)

Just had a nice hearty Japanese meal at a nearby Japanese restaurent, reasonable price and great atmosphere, plus the service are incredibly friendly with authentic sounding Japanese greetings, am glad that I dropped by there.
