Wasn't really interested in this Ewan McGregor and Renee Zellweger movie at first, cos the over-retouched half-naked DVD cover of Ewan McGregor didn't really manage to pique my interest much. I bought the DVD solely based on the fact that it is a romantic/comedy (and I'm a sucker for them, ahaa..) and some good reviews for the film.
And it just happened that there was one day where I was almost running out of feel-good movies, nothing better to do at night, so I finally decided to pop in this DVD and see for myself what the good reviews are based on.
The beginning of the movie wasn't really exciting, but as it went on, I found it to have a few striking similiarities to the Doris Day/Rock Hudson movie 'Pillow Talk', then only it occured to me that this movie is actually a homage to the 50s Doris/Hudson movie era.
Anyhow the fact is that the movie does become more interesting towards the end, and I personally think that the 'end' saved this movie from being just a mediocore.
